How many other book stores are in the area? Try not to put yourself in competition with an openand well settled store, especially not a big chain store. are there any other ‘target’ stores or hotspots in the area, or something besides your store that would draw them? Would you only sell books or provide another services, like coffee shop, wi/fi, etc? Make yourself a commodity, something they want, surrounded by other things (by other things i mean other teen stores, music, clothes etc) they want.
